Make a Plan & Take a Stand
for the Life You Want
Stephen Porges - Author; The Polyvagal Theory
Whether you prefer a private session or the support of a group, we will demo many of the most useful ways to embody change.
Developed over 2 decades of qualitative research in body-centered group support experience, these methods have continued to evolve over the I0 years I have supported people at an addiction & trauma treatment center in BC Canada.
As a devoted resilience & recovery coach there, I provide a safe space where the latest research can feed your curiosity & creative solutions can come alive!
Since starting my career at 20 working with teens, I’ve witnessed embodied methods shift lives into unimagined directions due to the simple fact that both our habits (and our trauma) live in our bodies.
They live in the motion of your hand as you brush your teeth or how your arm rises & falls each time you take a drink - they live in the drum of your heart beat or catch of your breath when you get triggered.
The reason we know better, yet may not make better choices, is that new learning & insight need to be integrated deep into our muscle memory where habits & trauma live - right there in your body.
Unlike other approaches, once your body gets it - just like riding a bike - you will always be able to find your way forward.
This process of recovery is not a lifetime trudge pushing a huge boulder up a steep slope.
When your recovery is embodied, it sticks! Long term.
The Recovery Wheel is an on-the-spot self-coaching tool that wakes up qualities in the body that support you to recover.
As you tune in to where these qualities live, your nervous system resets & good decision making comes back online.
Give the wheel a spin & tune into these key embodied qualities including -
